mulethi churna (licorice powder)
1/2 tspSubstitute mulethi stick soaked and crushed

How to make it
Preparation
- Mix mulethi powder with honey to make a thick paste
- Clean mouth with lukewarm water
- Apply paste directly on the ulcer using a clean finger or cotton bud
- Leave for 10-15 minutes — try not to swallow
- Spit out and rinse with lukewarm water
- Repeat 3-4 times daily
- Gargle method: Dissolve 1/2 tsp mulethi powder in 1 cup warm water. Gargle for 30 seconds, 3-4 times daily.
Works best for
Dosage
Apply paste 3-4 times daily, or gargle 3-4 times daily. Most ulcers heal in 3-5 days.
When not to use
Topical use is safe, but avoid swallowing mulethi paste if you have high BP, are pregnant, or have kidney disease. For deep or large ulcers, see a doctor.
