How to make it

Preparation

  1. Boil 2 cups water with cinnamon stick and crushed cardamom for 3 minutes
  2. Add green tea leaves, reduce heat, simmer 2 minutes
  3. Add saffron strands
  4. Strain into cups
  5. Garnish with slivered almonds
  6. Add honey after it cools slightly (optional)

Dosage

1-2 cups daily during winter months, ideally morning and evening

When not to use

People sensitive to caffeine should not drink in evening. Excessive saffron (>5g) can be toxic — 2-3 strands per cup is perfectly safe.
