nariyal tel (coconut oil)

Substitute sesame oil

How to make it

Preparation

  1. Preparation (night before):
  2. Soak methi seeds in coconut oil overnight in a glass jar
  3. Next morning, heat oil with seeds on low flame for 10 minutes
  4. Seeds should turn dark brown (not black)
  5. Strain oil into glass bottle, discard seeds
  6. Cool to warm temperature
  7. Application:
  8. Part hair into sections
  9. Apply warm oil on scalp with fingertips
  10. Massage in circular motions for 15 minutes
  11. Wrap with warm towel
  12. Leave 2+ hours or overnight
  13. Wash with mild shampoo

Dosage

2-3 times per week. One batch of oil lasts 2-3 applications.

When not to use
